Louise wanted the models to look flawless but in a natural way so no heavy foundation was used, instead a gentle flush of colour was used on the cheeks to freshen the skin and bring a healthy glow. A glossy eye also kept the look fresh and reflected the lights on the runway, lifting the girls’ eyes and adding a sparkle. A silvery grey was chosen to complement the colour pallete of the clothes, for which the theme this season was Snowdrop. Finally, lips were kept nude and simple making the eyes the main focus. Below is a step by step guide of how you can achieve the look.
Prep skin well by cleansing with Weleda’s Almond Soothing Cleansing Lotion and moisturise with Nude’s Radiant Day Moisturiser – this is nice and light and won’t be too shiny, but great under make-up.
Next use Aveda’s Tinted Moisturiser, which is lightweight and will give the skin a gorgeous glow. Follow this with a compact foundation such as Mehron by buffing it in well with a foundation brush to even out any imperfections. For blusher use a baby pink lipstick by really working it into the skin so that it looks like part of the skin.
For the eyes, mix Inika’s Mineral Eyeshadow Pigment in Platinum with a gloss and use your fingers to press it onto the eyelid, blending it up to the eyebrows and into the inner corners of the eyes too. Gloss looks amazing on the eyelids because it catches the light and really brightens the area. However, it can be high maintenance as gloss has a tendency to move around and crease. We personally don’t mind a little creasing but to create this smooth and perfect look on yourself, just try a little dab in the middle of the lids rather than all over. Use a balm for a subtle sheen or a clear lip gloss if you want more of a wet look – this will move more.
Lashes? Simply curl and brush through. And brows? Simply brush these through too, no colour needs to be applied.
Lips are simple too, simply dab on Ilia’s Humble Me for a soft nude. This is a great nude colour that is easy to wear, it will help neutralise the natural lip colour but without washing you out. Apply with a brush for precision or straight from the bullet for a more relaxed feel. Powder only needs to be applied to the T-zone so that skin still looks glowy but not sweaty.
